The Battlefield ( for every victim who is now a survivor)

THE BATTLE FIELD
We soldier on, leaving the past, yet picking up the remnants of what could have been. We try to piece them together to bring about a hope that we hold on to. In the pieces shattered against the changing seasons, there are still a few pieces that shine like miniature rainbows that need to conquer a whole horizon. In the battlefield, some have not made it, but yet for us the workers that remain we hold on to the promises and a dream of a tomorrow. The wounds are still visible but we refuse to sink. Sometimes the wounds are not as visible but they are embedded in our souls, but we take comfort in that it has been said time will heal all wounds. As the sun sets so shall it be that when dusk sets over our skies in due time, dawn shall break. Even so, in it all the phoenix shall rise once again. We hold fears of the unknown to come and the experiences of a past but are it that we shall not falter. We shall not crumble in the face of situations and we will not let circumstances change us. In poverty and despair we remain strong, in richness and glory we remain steadfast as anchors and seek to love even more than ever asking God to strengthen us.
It is not easy to remain constant, but being a warrior is not easy, being a select servant, even the more daring. It is okay to cry, in fact it is expected of us to call on Jehovah Nissi, when we swim against the tide and it feels we are drowning. When we reach safety let us not forget how we got there and take the glory for ourselves
