day 34 Letter from a neighbour to a neighbour

Day 34 Letters.
Letters from the woman next door
There are times we are all judgemental and perceive the unlikely. Not only are we guided by notions that have been passed down to us through generations but by our emotions as well. We seek to justify our actions on our acquired knowledge. Had we paused for a split second we would have acted otherwise. Had we looked past our colour and stature it could have been different. You would have realised that behind my colour my blood is as crimson red as yours. I shed tears and I hurt as much as you. Behind my thick bushy hair I still dream and hope for the same things as you. Past the DNA, colour and gender I have a soul like you that hungers and longs to be just.
Imagine, past all these and consider your insecurities as my insecurities and your fears likewise. Do you see the picture and the dream I see. I perceive a world without boundaries, a world without discrimination. In my old age I still dream too. I am like you even in spirit and soul, young and full of vigour. I beg and implore let me be just. Love me as your reflection and I will love you as mine. A humanity divided falters. This season let it not be about selection but let it be about doing what is right and let us not smash others dreams. Let us be co-architects and surveyors into acquiring and building the best to come. Let us not pass disillusioned segregation to generations.
